Job Description

MISSION TO METRICS

The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop advanced technology to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. Therefore, our People & Organization team’s goal is to enable our People in a way that they can thrive in doing the best work to accomplish the mission successfully.

We are looking for a new intern who will get first-hand experience of the day-to-day activities within our People Operations and Recruitment domain, by closely collaborating with our P&O team. You will help strengthen and create a great employee experience for our international crew
members by providing administrative support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver general admin support to the P&O team
  • Support recruitment with creating a great candidate experience throughout the hiring journey
  • Supporting the hiring process through job creation and organizing interviews for internal stakeholders
  • Help the people team with notes and preparing agenda for weekly meetings
  • Support with updating administration by drafting agreements, overviews, letters etc., arranging PO’s and systems and take necessary action when needed
  • Support in ad-hoc projects



PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with a business administration/HR focus
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Office 365 applications
  • Work experience in a similar position in the People department is nice to have
  • Experience with AI and possible applications in P&O would be highly desirable
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a pre

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Start date: ASAP - Please indicate your possible start date, duration, and hours per week.
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Candidates are expected to work from our HQ in Rotterdam at least 3 days a week.
  • Candidates are required to be enrolled at a University (Bachelor’s/Master’s etc program) throughout the duration of the internship.
