    The next era of global health

    Global health is at a crossroads, facing severe disruptions from aid cuts and strained systems. However, it is also presenting a unique opportunity for fundamental reform.

    Global health faces immense challenges: frozen aid, budget cuts to vital programs, and immense strain on health workers. Institutions such as the World Health Organization and UNAIDS are grappling with financial pressures, impacting millions.

    Yet, this moment presents a critical opportunity to redefine global health. Leaders worldwide are calling for a fundamental reset in aid delivery, pushing for models that are locally led, community-responsive, and resilient to political and financial storms. There’s also growing momentum behind innovative financing approaches, from domestic investments to new philanthropic efforts and public-private partnerships.

    We’re also entering a new era of innovation, with advancements such as artificial intelligence offering new ways to detect, treat, and respond to disease more efficiently.
