A public agency, Expertise France is a key player in international technical cooperation. It designs and implements projects that sustainably strengthen public policies in developing and emerging countries. Governance, security, climate, health, education... It intervenes in key areas of sustainable development and contributes alongside its partners to the realization of the 2030 Agenda.

In recent decades, major progress has been made in the fight against poverty and access to health and education. However, inequalities remain , worsened by climate change, the emergence of new conflicts and health crises.

In this context, public policies have an essential role to play : that of establishing a framework favorable to sustainable development and the reduction of inequalities.

Acting in favor of sustainable and inclusive development

As a French international technical cooperation agency, Expertise France is committed to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement. Complementary to the provision of financial resources for development, technical cooperation is at the heart of France's response to the environmental, health, social, economic and security challenges that States face.

To do this, Expertise France works closely with French public institutions but also with the European Union to respond to the demand of partner countries who wish to strengthen the quality of their public policies to meet these challenges. More specifically, the agency coordinates and implements national or regional projects in the main areas of public action:
