3iS is a not-for-profit organization created in September 2008, registered in France as an Association by law of 1901. They predominantly work with humanitarian, development, and academic actors worldwide. To date, they have implemented some 200 projects in more than 30 countries across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and South Asia.

They are graciously funded by various governments such as the French MOFA, SDC, GIZ, and the European Union through the Humanitarian Aid Department of the European Commission (ECHO) with whom they have a 2021-2027 Partnership Certificate, amongst many others. They also receive funding from the United Nations, including but not limited to UNICEF, UNDP, UNOPS, and UNEP. Their teams leverage the latest technological innovations from both the private sector and academia to maximize the potential of information to better create positive impact.

3iS’s mission is to empower and enhance the understanding of information through innovative technology, successfully driving strategic change and transforming decision-making.
